Introducing our unique elegant solution to wine bottle storage. Our rustic wooden and steel wine racks are constructed from chunky 90mm X 90mm square timbers with 8mm solid steel bar to securely support the wine bottles.

Our rustic wine rack units combine the features of our ladder and vertical wine racks. They come in varying lengths and widths holding a corresponding volume of wine bottles. The bottles are securely held by 8mm solid steel bars and hooped supports.

All our wine racks are available in four stains - Farmhouse, Oak, Walnut or Charcoal.

Our rustic timbers are sealed with commercial grade furniture oil. Do not use strong multi-surface spray cleaners on the wine racks as this may damage the finish simply Wipe with warm water

Each wood post is unique this does mean that the colour and overall finish will vary from post to post and may differ from that shown in the photos. The rustic timbers can have cracks/splits/shakes, dents and dings,. All these characteristics are what set solid wood boards apart from laminated imitations. Our rustic posts are dried and planed square but may have a small amount of twist, cupping or bowing and may move a little whilst they acclimatise to their new environment.

When staining to wood posts, it’s important to be aware that every board may stain slightly lighter or darker and the colour may vary depending on your screen contrast and brightness. However, we have done our best to display our stains in the photographs.

Our wine racks are modular and inter compatible. We have put together some of the most popular sizes and configurations although the possibilities are endless. All our wine racks are handmade in our Swansea workshop and if there is a specific size requirement please do not hesitate to contact us to make your dream a reality.

All our wine rack require a small degree of assembly. The rustic wood posts will be packaged separately to the steel bars/prongs. The bars and prongs will need to be inserted into the predrilled holes possibly with the aid of a rubber mallet or alike. The holes are drilled to a constant depth and the bars cut to a consistent standard length. If the gaps between the timbers needs to be extended to accommodate a longer than average wine bottle this can be accomplished by reducing the depth inserted. Care must be taken to ensure enough steel bar remains inserted into the wood post. The metal hoops may need to be slightly tweaked or twisted to a horizontal position

The chunky rustic wine racks are supplied with angle brackets to discreetly secure the wine rack to the wall. It is essential that the brackets are securely fixed into the wall by a competent person using the correct fixings for the wall structure. We at chunk monkey are not responsible for any harm or damage from a falling wine rack. It is your responsibility to ensure it is fitted correctly.

How do I look after my Furniture

All our timber products are sealed with 2 coats of industrial-grade hardwax oil. Any furniture oil or wax may be applied to our wood tops to increase protection or enhance the sheen. All spillages must be wiped up immediately and washed with warm water. Avoid harsh cleaning agents as these will degrade the hardwax oil finish.

What's the difference between C24 timbers and Reclaimed Scaffolding boards?

Our EXTRA and EXTREMELY Chunky furniture utilizes C24 structural timbers, which are approximately 45mm and 70mm thick. C24 indicates the highest grade of wood, reducing the likelihood of twisting and splitting. Our reclaimed scaffolding boards are 38mm thick and possess all the character associated with their life outside on a building site, which is impossible to duplicate. Both timbers have the option to be stained, with the scaffold boards also having the option to be left in a natural/raw state.

What's the difference between Chunk ONE and Chunk TWO?

Chunk ONE offers a sleek trapezoidal steel leg design, while Chunk TWO features splayed legs, providing uninterrupted space for a chair.

What's the difference between EXTRA Chunky and EXTREMELY Chunky

EXTRA Chunky utilizes C24 structural timbers, which are approximately 45mm thick. Our EXTREMELY Chunk boards are 70mm thick and come in the same three stains.
