Handmade Rustic Industrial Raised Platform Bed Frames

Our Raised Platform Bed Frames are built using premium C24 structural timber, with solid boards approximately 40mm thick. Each frame is handcrafted in our Swansea workshop and designed for both durability and timeless style. The bed frames feature clean, bold lines and a low-profile design, offering a modern yet rustic feel that suits a wide range of interiors.

As with all of our industrial-style furniture, we offer custom sizes—so if you require a specific length, width, or height not listed, please get in touch and we’ll be happy to help.

Once sanded and oiled, the natural character of the wood is revealed, highlighting its unique grain and texture. Our bed frames are available in different stains including Farmhouse, Walnut, Oak and Charcoal. The side rails, headboard, and footboard are crafted using the same premium timber and are supplied with all required fixings. Assembly is straightforward with basic tools, and we recommend having a second person assist.

We only use high-quality, UK-sourced materials. All of our furniture is completely handmade in South Wales and we proudly support local suppliers and businesses wherever possible.

Our Raised Platform Bed Frames are crafted from solid wood, meaning each piece is completely unique. Natural characteristics such as knots, grain patterns, minor cracks, splits, or slight colour variations are to be expected and embraced. These features are part of what gives solid wood its authentic charm and rustic appeal.

The bed frame is finished with commercial-grade furniture oil to help protect the wood, but care should still be taken. Avoid using harsh chemical cleaners or multi-surface sprays, as these can damage the finish. We recommend wiping with a soft cloth and warm water when needed. Reapplying a suitable wood oil every few months can help maintain the wood’s natural beauty and protection.

Please note: some slight movement, such as minor warping or expansion, may occur as the wood adjusts to your home environment.

The Raised Platform Bed Frames are delivered as a complete head board slat, foot board slat and two side rails making it easier to access buildings. The side rails will require screwing to the head board and foot board and this will be made easier with an electric drill/screwdriver but is still possible by hand.

The Chunky raised platform bed is supplied with all the fixings required and is best assembled with assistance. As with all our furniture, delivery is free!
