In 2010, Ceini passed her midwifery degree and this was in huge part due to one woman: her Mam. How can I thank her? I thought. A card? Flowers? Perfume? All these things seemed way too boring, too cliché and easy, and that’s when the idea dropped in my head: I’d carve her a traditional Welsh Lovespoon.

One problem, I had no experience, no tools and no wood - not a great start! And yet, the very idea of creating something with my own hands, putting all the love I had for her into a bespoke piece of art, captured my imagination so much that I knew I had to do it.

So, finding a Stanley knife, and taking a slat of pine wood from her bed, she started carving a Lovespoon. It’d be easy to say that I had no idea that simple, provincial act would lead her on such a fun, frustrating, rewarding, painful and fulfilling journey… however, she knew from the very moment that she rubbed in the final coat of bees wax and admired the rough, basic spoon she'd created, that an adventure awaited. She was hooked.

We deliver to UK mainland addresses. Delivery times are estimates; stock items usually leave sooner, while made-to-order pieces can take longer. Deliveries are kerbside and require a signature. For locations outside the UK mainland, please contact us for a quote.

Delivery

• Side tables will arrive assembled.
• Coffee tables may arrive with the legs packed separately depending on the size of the table.
• These are one-off items so we will dispatch the item within 7 days.
• Kerbside delivery only; you’re responsible for moving items into your property.
  

Returns

• You may return items within 14 days of delivery under the Consumer Contracts Regulations if unused and in original condition/packaging.
• Return shipping is the customer’s responsibility unless the item is faulty or incorrect.
• These items are non-refundable but they are exchangeable.
